I believe there are still active MIG-15s/17s in North Korea and some African countries.
Well, there are most certainly Mig 15s and Mig 17s here in the US, as well as F-86s and F-100 that are flown on the "airsho" circuit, very kool. I would imagine any aircraft in those countries are activly soaking up sunshine, (and rain/corrosion) and actively sinking into the tar-mac?
I did specify on the airsho circuit, didn't I? I realize its different, but they are actively flying, most of them as civilian aircraft, that's hard to beat, you can also buy a Mig-29 UB for 4.6 million, prolly better wait till you finish school though?That's not the same as in-service though. I doubt the U.S. will rely on F-86s and F-100s for national air defence.
