could you delete the pics of vikrant in this thread,someone tells me that this pics are breach of national security

these aren't official pics. or pics. allowed by the indian MOD. or navy

and i am uncomfortable that i was the one who posted them here. though i wasn't the one who took these pics.

You can delete your posts or your pictures at any time.

Also, if we can be shown that a clear violation of the law here where SD is located and hosted has occured, we will certainly delete the pictures.

If you have any doubts about a server that is hosting a pic, please contact that server with your concern and if they delete it, it will disappear here too.

But, if a picture is out on the internet in the free domain, we cannot just delete them because either someone feels they should not be out there, or because India itself does not want them out there...unless, as I say, aclear violateion of the law has occurred.

We have had similar instances with Chinese citizens posting pictures to the internet and then those pictures being diffused out onto the net in all sorts of locations where is is not against the law to have them.

You have to delete them at their source:

Generally where national security is concerned, the rule of thumb is concealment. if it's secret it has to be hidden or some effort made to conceal it's presence. In this case No effort was made. Aksha your safe, A search on google earth would have turned up all those pictures have revealed. anyone driving within three Clicks of that facility could have snapped the same photos. the Indian MOD knows that. it's not a secret if it's as big as day.

i am talking about the pics of vikrant with superstructure

but i do not have to worry ,i suppose ,since i wasn't the one who took the pictures.

the guy who has posted the pic. in twitter and the other guy who posted it in indian dfence forum(both of them took 2 separate sets of pics.)say that they did not see any notice board about taking pictures.
