Any information on
1. Chinese Silicon wafer treatment and processing capabilities.(I think Japan is quite established here aside from US)
2.Chinese lens making capabilities. (Some company that'd compete with the likes of Carl Zeiss of Germany).
3.Although not directly related - Chinese efforts to make CMOS image sensors. (The market right now is monopolized by Sony). Chinese phones and camera's need an image sensor too, you know.
4.Chinese efforts to replace or replicate the capabilities of Synapse and Cadence. Any startups atleast?

64MB DDR4 must be extremely expensive :) ... never heard that DDR4 had such capacity

Not at this point in time, check Amazon for 64GB DDR4 :p Never been a better time to upgrade RAM than now! I think these days if you buy a notebook or prebuilt branded desktop, 16GB to 32GB are standard options and 64GB is an option too. Though in that case it's generally DDR3, but going up to DDR4 is not that big of a price jump!

I am lost, is it the "PC tuning" topic ?

Still. This lens-maker's primary focus is consumer electronics, it seems. I'd like to know if there are any Lens manufacturers in the lithography arena. Like Carl Zeiss.
(Do note that much information i know of the various suppliers in the lithography area came from @tidalwave posts in another thread).
I presume that lens making is undertaken by State Research Institutes? (Who'd , among other things, would be making the lenses for imaging satellites, periscopes and what not).

Huawei says recently it will lose about 40% to 60% oversea phone shipment.

It already cancels its PC matebook sector.

There will be alot layoffs for sure.

I already predict it cannot do business as usual due to US ban even it has backup OS and components.

It must change itself to become Semiconductor firm, selling chips to others for revenue. It should devote itself into that to have full range of analog and digital chips and be a component supplier.

If it becomes even more ambitious, it can also go into Semiconductor equipment supplier like lithography equipment like ASML.

Lithography lens very different than camera lens. They are huge lens.
Lithography equipment also use huge mirrors.

Lens maker with very strong expertise can make lens for lithography such as Carl Zeiss and Nikon.

This area China is very weak.

I do not understand what the hell is wrong with you today or your infatuation with me. Do me a favor, don't ever post random articles or point to posts specifically asking me to comment on them again. I see everything; assume it. If I have something to say, I'll comment.

This is tidalwave's opinion on Huawei's future development. It has nothing to do with me.

However, Huawei courage is recommended because it didnt burden Chinese government and ask government to step in to plead for leniency with US like ZTE.

Had this happened, it would put Chinese government in a bad spot because it finally decides to fight the US long term in trade war, no more talk and compromise.

Early, Xi had to stepped in and asked Trump personally for a favor regarding ZTE because ZTE begging that tens of thousands of its employees will be out of work if it got shut down.

Huawei didn't ask government so it's recommendable.
