I get the feeling that after watching four years of Ukraine war USN hasn't really taken the threat of USVs that seriously, despite their own noise about unmanned hellscape. Hence why that boat managed to get close to the Lincoln CSG and they first used 5" guns to hit it and failed after repeated shots and had to resort to hellfire from helicopter. While USV may not be too much of a threat on the open water because CSG can use their speed to make it hard on the USV to make an attack run, in the cramped space of the strait these USVs would be much more dangerous.

As per Yankeesama PLAN discovered that LY-1 is surprisingly efficient at finding and killing USVs during exercises (something they found by accident). Wonder if it is a good idea to send USS Preble for escort. Then again, anything sub-100KW may not have the same effect so who knows.

Many suspect that the 2500-strong Marine Expedition Unit being rerouted to the Middle East is for the purpose of holding the island once the USN and IDF soften up the defenses. Nonetheless, if Iran realizes that its economic lifeline is being severed, it would likely do everything it can to make the landings as difficult as possible (likely with drones and asymmetric munitions).

Looks like a total of 4 interceptors against one BM, they seem to launch them in pairs to have better kill probability and the first pair failed to intercept and second pair succeeded.
