The Guardian LiveDonald Trump has warned that Nato faces a “very bad” future if US allies fail to assist in opening up the strait of Hormuz, the Financial Times has reported.
Trump said in an interview with the newspaper published on Sunday that he could also delay his summit with China’s president Xi Jinping later this month as he presses Beijing to help unblock the vital waterway, the FT reported.

I was hoping Xi Jinping to cancel supposed Trump visit first. Now it is not Xi's headache anymore. Or, maybe the truth is that the visit was never officially confirmed depending on Trump's behaviour prior to the meeting. Now Trump knows that invitation would never come, so he is eating his words.
