Whooped so bad that Brezhnev threatened to nuke them if they didn't cease their advance in Egypt

Time magazine says in its current issue that the note on the Middle East crisis sent by Leonid I. Brezhnev, the Soviet party leader, to President Nixon “threatened the destruction of the State of Israel” by Soviet forces if Israel “did not stop violating, the cease‐fire.”

Violating a cease fire and advacing into Egypt are two very different things. Also that must be why Golda Meir considered going fully nuclear on Egypt by day 2, because they were totally winning, lol.

This warning was given two weeks after Israel crossed onto the west bank of the Suez canal, and one week after the Egyptian third army was surrounded.

.Are the Iranians making deals or agreement with Saudis thru Pakistanis? The next is inevitable, so US military being targets/bases housing centcom/officers command, patriots, radars will be targeted. At least Iranians can pre-warn Saudis don't it personally, it is just strictly biznes of war. Both Israel and UAE are stocking up, I guess mapping of the targets are being done by both side. Definitely there will be element of surprise of a ground invasion coming, not sure what mode. Combine force parachute in, Kurds will be involve in the norther region. I believe so, as there closer to Tehran, US may tries the "Capital Occupation" strategy hoping to bring Iran to it's knees. This could mean invasion from the Kurdish region with special forces and paratroopers. Once in can US hold ground and advance.

In the past, whichever country under the US's crosshair will soon collapse, but after two strikes from a combination of Israel and US with a lot of leaders being assassinated, Iran still stand firm as of today. My question is: is it Iran too strong or Netanyahu and Trump too weak that they can't take down the Iranian regime?

Whether Iran is too strong or whether the US/Israel are too weak is the same thing, isn't it? Strength and weakness are relative to each other in a contest. If you lose an armwrestling competition to your brother, was he too strong or were you too weak?

You mean Afghanistan, Vietnam? For case of Afghanistan, I read many written that empire goes there will soon collapse, you see that Soviet Union, latest I see collapsing soon is the US empire. It's famously known as graveyard of empire. For the case of Vietnam, seems to be thriving (mostly with help from China)

Persians, Alexander and Central Asians held Afghanistan.

It works if you actually know what you are doing and have proper plans for it.

Many countries don't though. They spend excessive resources trying to hold some mountain desert area filled with not very friendly people for too long and wonder why things blow up. Its a place where people like Timur, Babur and Nadah Shah set up a base temporarily so they can invade neighbors like India. Oh yeah and of course Mahmud of Ghazni. Just not a nice place to be really.
