DF-5B 1st stage vehicle is like 30m x 3~3.4m, the "mysterious boxes" 1st stage vehicle is like 28m x 3.8~4.2m. Little wider but shorter
Hmm wait yeah, the transporters seem different too. Wonder if it's a brand new liquid fueled ICBM using the notional new staged combustion cycle hypergolic engine teased a while ago. New version of DF5 is also much welcomed.QQ20250717-094050.png

新巡=new cruise missile (Hypersonic Air-breathing cruise missile?)

The folk nickname of J-36 is Ginkgo Leaf, so 成都小叶 means CAC mini Ginkgo Leaf

Midgetman=MGM-134A
China already has road mobile ICBM. How is this "midgetman" different from DF-41

Does China ever shows scale mockups at parades? If not hopefully the mini leaf is either a CCA to go with J-36 or perhaps the 6th gen demonstrator that might have been flown in 2021 or thereabouts.
There is indeed no precedent. We have never been a scale model of a manned fighter jet in a military parade.

But considering that the PLA has always been a chaser in the past, this time is a turning point from a chaser to a leader, it is also reasonable to make an exception.

The trio talked about some funny inside stories in the paid podcast

Some senior logistics personnel in charge of the 2015 and 2019 military parade village were originally scheduled to retire in 2022, but they were persuaded to stay and work for this year's military parade.

But they didn't expect that they were persuaded to stay because the intensity of the work is the 2015 and 2019 military parades combined.

There are so many brand new equipment, although their baseline maintainability was designed to be better than the old equipment, the support personnel had never seen them before and had to start from scratch.

Maybe some of these "long tubes" are df-45 with 10 axels. There's even a video of it strolling down a highway. Maybe df-45 hasn't been inducted into the service yet? I remember Chinese military saying that only in-service hardware is shown. Of course, df-45 may have been inducted into the service, but won't be shown

DF-41 is a larger missile with MIRV capability. A notional Chinese MGM-134A equivalent is more analogous to DF-31AG.

That being said I share your confusion too. I am not sure what the "Chinese Midgetman" exactly entails since DF-31AG is basically that (7000 miles~ range, single 425kt warhead) just minus the blast resistant launch vehicle design. I would assume it means this new missile can achieve 31AG's capability with a smaller missile? Not sure why it's necessary..

DF-17 is booster-glider, certainly not cruise missile. It is also widely believed that DF-27 is also booster-glider. So I don't think we should take the poster's words as fact.

I wonder if it is indeed the scale mockup for J-36… I hope not.
Mini leaf could be just unmanned UAV, like some kind of CCA perhaps.

Just keep it in mind there is a mysterious unkown. The poster might just made a wild speculation, nothing further can be deducted.
