They could be using Spike NLOS which has that lofted trajectory and can be TV-guided via the fiberoptic connection. Very similar to the HJ-10.
I don't think they're using Spikes either, which are a heavy ATGM with line of sight firing out to the km level.
FPVs would be far more effective with NLOS attack out to 10 km level.
All of their other purpose build drones are huge and very difficult to smuggle. FPVs make far more sense.
In an official statement, the Iranian Army’s Public Relations Office announced that its air defense forces had successfully struck and destroyed two F-35 fighter jets along with multiple drones belonging to the Zionist regime.
The report noted that the fate of the pilots remains unknown and is currently under investigation. Further information will be released in due course.
Second one is fake. But the first one is possible. Maybe it's a friendly fire. Or got a lucky hit.Iran claimed they shot down two F-35s
but ... but they didn't provide any evidence, just claims.
Probably not Harops. Way too big and don't need a local base. They could be using Spike NLOS which has that lofted trajectory and can be TV-guided via the fiberoptic connection. Very similar to the HJ-10.
They could have hid it behind a truck and fired. Or they could have been using Harop loitering munitions. Still, we cannot rule out FPV drones either because these require far smaller footprints.
Even if one is shot down, that's breaking news. I am surprised people aren't talking about it everywhere.Second one is fake. But the first one is possible. Maybe it's a friendly fire. Or got a lucky hit.
