2025 Israel - Iranian conflict

Iran needs to strike KSA and UAE oil fields RIGHT NOW and blockade Hormuz and Bab-el-mandeb. That’s 50% of global energy. Who takes up the slack? Russia. The American population needs to feel pain. Yes of course collateral damage will be astronomical for the rest of the world as well, but Iran would be complete morons to not strike while the iron is hot in terms of turning global opinion all the way against Israel once and for all.

I mean I think Israel knows they dont have the capabilities to effectively take out Iran’s nuclear program, that would only be possible in concert with the US. They can deal damage to the known (and unknown) nuclear sites, they can kill scientists, but ultimately this is just delaying the program, not destroying it. The real goal, I suspect, is to deal enough damage to Iran and humiliate them in such a manner that they HAVE to respond in a massive fashion, possibly targeting US assets and dragging them in as a result. Thats the end goal the Israelis are banking on. I dont think this was a decapitation strike so much as it was a ploy to hopefully bring the US into the conflict. And yeah, it reeks of desperation on Netanyahu’s part, but I dont see the US just idly standing by if Iran decides to strike back. Hezbollah is beaten, Assad is gone, Hamas has been pulverized, and the Houthis are a minor threat at best. That leaves just the head of the serpent, and both Israel and Iran know it. And Netanyahu seems to be have decided now is the time to go for the kill. We’ll see how Iran decides to respond but if they decide to go after US bases I dont see good things happening.

Might be true, but Israelis truly believe they're the big kids on the block. A great power.
They're genuinely outraged when multiple US administrations didn't give Israel the respect they think deserve and threaten to cut support.

They might be delusional enough think they can go for complete victory here, suffering from victory disease and overcompensating for the initial hit from Oct 7th.

Go through this thread, what we suspect so far:

— Iranian nuclear scientists were targeted in precision strikes in a civilian compound in Tehran
— Iranian military generals were targeted during the strikes
— Israel is utilising Iraqi airspace for stand-off launches in an attempt to carry out DEAD
— Nuclear power plants, ballistic missile storage facilities, and air defence are primary targets

Iran is a 90 million population country, more than what Nazi Germany had in Ww2 and look what Germany was able to do with its economy and people. Its sad to see Iran getting humiliated like this by a tiny country like Israel.

Getting your leadership killed in the first day of strikes show how much they are exposed on every front. If they are exposed to this level, not even nuclear weapons can save them. Its good that they don't have it. They don't deserve it. Sad to see the complete humiliation of the great Iranian civilization.

Not to many on all sides unfortunately. Both Russia and Iran were hyped up as giant threats to both Europe and Israel respectively. On the plus side though, its a good thing we learned this before getting into a global conflict with either of the two because if I had to rely on either of these “allies” in a war I’d rather just wave the white flag. It seems it’s always just been China after all for all this talk about an axis and BRICS.

They have to go all out now absolutely yeah but at this point I’m left wondering if they could even deal significant damage to Israel even if they empty their arsenal.
Russia has already critically wounded (1.5M), displaced (1.3M) or captured (2.9M) half of the entire working age male Ukrainian population (5.7M out of 11.1M) based on western reports, as of last year.

Russia has lost a negligible % of its working age male population in comparison.

This is demographically one of the most brutal wars in history.

Russia recently drove a freezer truck filled with 1k+ Ukrainian bodies up to the border, asking Ukraine to pick up its dead. Ukraine didn't. And Ukraine also couldn't show an equivalent casualty infliction, neither by total nor proportional body count. If it could, it would.

It is just that this level of casualties would've made anyone else surrender, even the Nazi Germans, but west worship is a hell of a drug. All that means though is that by the time Ukraine surrenders, it'd be demographically ruined.
