Given how the IAF and, perhaps imminently, the USAF/USN have free rein over Iranian skies, Tehran is also hardly in a good position to quickly produce a warhead.

If USA does attack Iran with boots on the ground, its really accelerating the death of their empire.

I believe that if the US does get involved, it will be in the form of strikes carried out by aircraft (fighters and bombers) along with ship based weaponry. Planning an invasion of Iran would be a MASSIVE undertaking and would likely take a year if not more the get the forces needed to do so in place for an invasion. Everything we have seen so far seems to indicate some form of strikes comprising of air and ship based assets.
