Lmao, the Koreans are offended that China has ethnic Koreans in their team wearing traditional outfits. There’s also a delusional comment there saying Korea influenced China culturally, meaning everything Chinese(Hanfu, Qipao etc) are Korean origin.

Whenever I see things on Reddit, I wonder if the poster is a bot or some paid shill whose intention is to making something out of nothing.

How did Korea supposedly influenced imperial China with Korean culture when the last time I checked, Korea was a vassal state of China until the waning days of the Qing Dynasty. Is there any genuine historical evidence to support an interesting claim?

To Korean nationalists, everyone from Confucius & Jesus Christ to Einstein & Captain Kirk were all Koreans, nevermind the actual fact that they all have Chinese last names, and have the Tai Chi/ying yang on their damn national flag, among other things.

None that I know of. Many great Joseon scholars were well versed in Confucian and Neo-Confucian works, and some even went to China for imperial examinations. If I remember correctly, two of the figures on the South Korean Won are examples of those scholars and intellectuals: Shin Saimdang (申師任堂) and Yi I (李珥). Hell, even the founder of the Joseon dynasty was a Yuan official.

Plus, during the Tang Dynasty, after the defeat and collapse of Goguryeo, some of the Goguryeo generals’ descendants would serve the Tang Dynasty as scholars and generals. One famous example of this is Gao Xianzhi (高仙芝).

Those ethnic nationalists are extremely insecure people and should generally be treated like a void.

This was the dumbest thread I have ever read
I couldn't get past 4 comments.
They can't comprehend the concept of ethnic Koreans living in China, let alone the long (usually peaceful) history between the countries
It would be like saying Chinese Americans are "stealing" Chinese New Year, wtf?
