They want to tarnish the Beijing Olympics. Millions of people will be watching, reading the news about it. So western media is in overdrive.
But the snow was made by an Italian company. It’s the best man made snow you can ski on.

Exactly. They're using the same maximum pressure tactic they used on the Soviet Union. Hold them to insanely high standards and blow up little issues into huge stories. They're using it to distract from their collapsing empire facing 10% inflation

Surprisingly, the comments on this video were very objective and fair towards the Beijing Winter Olympics and what's the actual facts on the ground are. Plus, western propagandists are just looking for quick clicks for clout chasing.
It's also because that's what the winter olympic athletes PREFER. As for the ratings it's already achieved higher ratings compared to the previous winter olympics that was held in South Korea.
By all real accounts it was 15% last year, go to 20% this year...
