:D Now, now . now Golly..be nice!:D..I guess we all do realize that those women displayed on the calaender are more than likely models.

Now you don't know that. Why would the PLA play tricks on us like that ;)

On a slightly more serious note, I wonder what the maximum length women personnel are allowed to wear their hair. From most pictures of women in the PLA I've seen they have very short hair and none have hair long enough for a bun.

Why that bothered me I do not know. I've never thought about it until now.

The Great Helmsman is going to freak out wondering what happened to his People's Army and seeing all this decadence.

China (and Asia in general I think) doesn't even allow their school students to have long hair, nothing past the shoulder. So this is no surprise. I don't exactly see the reason, but it's no problem to them.
But Miss August does have a bun......on the back of her head.
(Someone has been focusing on the wrong buns!)

I can't help but say, those pads they use are big! :D
i did not know PLA had sweaters as uniforms o_O
Now that's the spirit!

I don't know much about what is happening in China, but in Singapore, Malaysia and most probably Indonesia, students (females) are allow long hair. I think this is also the case for Japan and Korea. Infact from what I know, most Asia countries allow their females students to have long hair.:)

Hong Kong doesn't. I don't know about Japan, but I think either ROC or ROK or both has it..... But I've never been to any of the 3 ROs so I could be wrong.
