Why LHD? 071 is correct for both ships in dock as I think -- same dimensions …

I don't think it is the same size One is definitely larger Plus we never had a rumor of 9th LPD Type 71 But we do heard rumor of type 75 is being built

It's just an area for pre-fabricated components waiting to be assembled.

I was indeed seeing things. May be I was overly keen to see a second LHD being built, too much to hope for, smiles.

This and the fact that the ship is probably longer. If it goes up to the end of the dry dock like the Type 071, it should be approx. 250m long, this matches with the dimensions of America class LHA. In a few months, we should be fixed on the nature of the ship. Right now, we have a few hints that this is the most likely candidate for LHD progam, given the dimensions, the builder which also builds LPD's with very similar missions to the LHD. On those pictures we can even guess the well deck structure, this definitively looks like an amphibious ship at least.

Here in this estimation via the front view it is even more obvious ... and if the information (via wiki) of 28m in the Type 071 is correct, then this would correspond to a beam of 33.50 / 33.60 m for the Type 075.

A beam of >30m is definitely reasonable to me, ranging from 33 to 30m at the widest point imo. That would certainly be in good company alongside the beam of many other LHDs in the world (Wasp/America, Mistral, Juan Carlos/Canberra)
