Can someone enlighten us non-minan speakers what linbei means. Please write in both English and Chinese. Thanks
linbei = 你爸我 = me your father. Implying I slept with your mom and thus the existence of you. To put in rude manner , I fxck your mom.

@t2contra Taiwanese speak minnan dialet as majority of their forefathers came from Quanzhou and other places in Fujian. Minnan dialet in Taiwan is aka Taiyu 台语。

OK my last post, Mod will be after us.

Sorry for improper phrase “slap into vulnerable Chinese face”, my original idea was that any failure on those CVs maybe a hurt to people with strong national pride, such a strong tone was not really intended
Any success from the PRC is a slap to the vulnerable Taiwanese face, provoking their inferiority complex and desire to bash mainland verbally to satisfy their own fragile ego.

Oops, sorry for improper phrasing too, I only meant to say that some Taiwanese people have strong national pride but get easily jealous of the mainland, hence why they like to make not-so-subtle negative comments about China all the time. My bad.

Just off topic once. I am surprise that some of you here understand what linbei (Minnang/Fujian dialet) means, we use it very commonly in Malaysia and Singapore too.:D
Btw, glad to see my compatriots in this forum.
