Jeff Head still has this on his page, and the design goes back to 2009.

One interesting detail is the use of HQ-16 missiles for self defense manifested in VLS and target illuminator. The HQ-10 only came into service in 2013, so such a system wasn't in the imagination years earlier.

The source was originally circulated by the Chinese press at 2009 and presumed to be fan boy art with the hots on the Mistral. Bigger pictures of it from various postings in the CDF back in 2009. One detail of note is that he nailed in the design of the forward superstructure and bridge, and having an elevator to the rear rather than on the sides, as some other fan art did. He wasn't far off with the design of the funnels although he did split it into two.

One thing to note about this fanboy design is that the TACAN is on a separate mast (C11), like it is on the Type 071. Obviously this part is taken from the 071. It would only be years later that the Liaoning established that you can put the TACAN right on top of the Type 382 Sea Eagle radar (C7), which removes the need of the dedicated mast for the TACAN. Once you eliminated the TACAN mast, which is between the two funnels, it becomes natural you can combine the funnels together into one to reduce island size, manufacturing complexity and save weight.

The artist managed to insert a SATCOM (C4) on top of the bridge, which is exactly like the real thing.

The design from 2009 has tilted funnels.

The forward elevator is in an other position and has nearly the same width than the aft elevator. The hangar deck is only a guess. The machinery spaces I think, too.

I think B there is an extended Type 052D.

I don't think the 9th Destroyer Division is getting a 052DL, so this might be the one being trialed by the 2nd Destroyer Division and based close by in Zhanjiang. This ship should be the future pennant 162 Nanning.

Did anyone note that the deck markings have been changed between November and December on the first Type 075 LHD?

The numbers have been replaced in the circle to larger ones on the right side and the top line of the triangle has been extended much closer to the island.
