Yes that is a LCAC. I got no doubt it picked up a few while the 075 was at Hudong Zhonghua Changxian, where JIangnan Shipyard is at the neighborhood.

I want it so bad to to an LCAC.... Yet somehow I have a feeling its only a tug

Too low and too flat to be a tug. No way its a tug without a tall mast for radar and communication radio. There is a tug in front of the ship some distance away and you can compare.

The bottom of the picture is very interesting. You can see a Type 039 Yuan and two Kilos. You can see a Type 022 Houbei, a Jianghu which I wonder why it ain't retired yet, and a Type 072 LST. Sorry make the Yuan a Song.

Let me add there is also a 035 Ming class, another boat that I wonder why its not retired yet, and on the right, could be a semi-submersible? It could be one of those ships that supply to the SCS islands.

The LCAC is only following the 075. The 075 isn't unloading or loading the LCAC at this moment.

Type 075 doesn't have an overhang, although there could be tugboats like that reserved for the Shandong or Liaoning if they ever come to Hainan.

PLAN tugboats have a certain height for fire fighting purposes. Here are some tugboats that are actually in Hainan.





There is another kind of boat though that can fill that description and that is the maritime militia.
