Even the lead ship's FOC might take up to 7 years. Until then, they have plenty of time training with smaller air wings.

Hi mate thanks for your reply is it somewhat decent kind of defence measures for LHDs or do some other nations are giving more punch to their LHDs will appreciate your further input if possible for you
thank you
The American LHD's such as the America and Wasp class have a similar defence setup weapons wise i.e large calibre machine guns, Phalanx CIWS systems, but these two classes also have the evolved Sea Sparrow missile system for taking on air and missile threats.
You can find more details on any ships weapons systems with an internet search. :)

Zero or almost non existent

since 2011 we have seen a very outright ridiculous helicopters production

Z-18 transport 380 and 381 and only recently 382
Z-18J AEW 300 and 301
Z-18F ASW 331, 332 and 333
and maybe similar Z8CJ SAR versions

thats overall around 10 medium sized helicopters in a 10 year period or about 1 per year for 2 x Carriers, 8 x LPD and 2 x LHD

you can be ambitious and count the Z9D but you dont get many more points for that

and now I will wait to be quoted about 100 times trying to explain to me otherwise

It is cleat to me that China was waiting for an appropriate helicopter and that is now here in the form of Z-20. You will see hundreds of Z-20 produced in coming decade for all the forces and also for other government agencies.

Yup here is the reference.Sorry the number 450 refer to WS-10. I mixed it up with WZ 10.Seem ike they plan to produce 200 WZ10 engine every year

The PLA is expected to induct a large number of Z-20 utility helicopters into service in the next decade as demands for the WZ-10 turboshaft engine is being increased from 65 for 2020 till 205 engines each year by 2026.

Z-9, Z-8 and their various variants are not really PLA's or PLAN's target helicopters. That's why they're not willing to commit to large production volumes. Z-10, and particularly Z-20 are their target ones. Z-10's have been produced in hundreds now. Z-20 and variants will likely to be produced over thousand across all services when all is said and done. To use a not-so-exact analogy, Z-10 is like 052C, while Z-20 is more like 052D. It appears another heavy attack helicopter is under development.

Sure, helicopters have been a bottleneck for PLAN, not just on LPD & LHD. It's been quite clear to every PLAN observer for a while.
