Two more images of Thailand's Type 071E.

3 x LPD could cary 12 x LCAC or 3 dozen armoured vehicles and thats not including 12 x Z8C helicopters

a near by LHD could add 6 x Z8C helicopters

a very good mix of air and sea assist

an LPD only carries a dozen armoured vehicles? no way...

how many vehicles is the 071 designed to take? i am counting 28 in the photo above.

you might be right i missed a row at the end. so 32, that is 3x what a 072 can carry, assuming the generally accepted number of 10 for 072. but i do wonder if there is another vehicle bay behind the camera.

The vehicle bay infront of the well deck can accommodate probably 9 MBT or 12 IFV/APC/amphibious tanks.

nice illustration, so in total this thing can carry up to 40 armor vehicles, pretty much a mechanized battalion, or at least the fighting echelon of one.

actually that bay is double story so double that up to 18 vehicles

there is a video clip deep in this thread from years ago which shows a ramp going from the bottom bay to the top

so 36 + 18 = over 50 vehicles capacity I would say
