that's s
Thanks to @Strangelove for bringing this simple snap-fit model to my attention. It made for a great introduction to the hobby.

Applying the complex/spindly helicopter pad decals was rather scary. I snapped off one of the propellers and had to glue it back on. I also used a bit of glue to get a tighter connection between the hull and deck/superstructure on one side. There are probably a couple other areas that could benefit from glue also but I would need to apply it with a pin or something. I consider it an interesting learning exercise and the result is fairly pleasing, but I'm not sure if I really want to take it further and end up with a house full of plastic ships, @Jeff Head-style (RIP).
Sweet. Are you thinking of panel lining it?

Maybe it is a spelling mistake. It should be YU while not Y15.
Not likely. Chinese literacy use letter representation not full Pinyin spelling for type names. In the same article there is Y-8 as the example.

Hypothetically it could be YL-5 where L stands for Lei (bomb) IF two letter abbreviation is used, but it would fit the known convention of Y-8 which shows that only one letter is used for torpedo.

Yea Yu seems to be often internally abbreviated as Y inside China like Y-11 referring to the Yu-11 torpedo. But not much has been heard beyond Yu-11 or even the Yu-10 so confirmation of the existence of a Yu-15 is interesting.
It is not seem, but a rule/convention to use abbreviation for type designation. For example, never write HongQi-9, but only HQ-9, never YingJi-21 but only YJ-21, never Yu-11 but only Y-11.

This could be the CIC of a Type 055.

I have never gotten a good theory or speculation as to why one decoy launcher has three rows and the other has four. Does it weigh that much to make the three row one into a four?
