No new indication of progression has been made recently.. Although, if they are sticking to schedule of delivering 4 frigates by 2021, they should just be about to cut steel for 3rd 054ap.

This shows the 054A at the office, doing what's meant for, or what frigates are good for. This appears to be 599 escorting a freighter during its Gulf of Aden escort anti-piracy mission.

Steel cutting ceremony for the 054A/P is held at Hudong Zhonghua. Based on the photo shown in this video, the ceremony was held in one of the sheds in HDZ, which means production of the 054A/P won't be using the open drydock that is used for the 071 and 075. However, being inside a shed, don't expect to see photos of it being produced step by step either, something Pakistani PLA watchers would want to see. Thailand's 071E may require using the open drydock, and this ship might start building when the second Type 075 gets floated away, with its dock mate being the third 075.

Type 054A/P will use this search radar instead of Type 382. SR2410C is an AESA. On the second picture, it is on top of a Bangladesh C13B, which is an export Type 056.
