It appears the lead ship of Dalian's new batch of 052Ds has set off for sea trials.

Why are the exhaust funnels on the 52d exposed? Why not just cover the whole thing up?

One of the 4th batch 052Ds fitting out at Dalian. Posted by @種花家的小姐姐2 on Weibo.

Are you sure this is from DL?

Looking at the background it more resembles CX island to me, and we can see the tail end of a 075 in the bottom right hand corner foreground (note the H/PJ-11 CIWS). The many red cranes and the roof pattern also looks more like JNCX, and we also see a Yuanwang esque ship in the background on the left side and the deckhouse and HQ-10 launcher of another 052D visible likely sitting in the fitting basin at the same time (or maybe elevated on the ground potentially, maybe in the launch dock at an elevated position).

Using a reference satellite image below, I suspect that the photo was taken from across the water, from behind where the 075s and 071s sometimes are docked (green box), in with red arrow being the photographed direction, at the 052D which is likely docked somewhere in the yellow box.

Also, speaking of which:
