Omg a 052D!

Not sure if that counts as a surprise. That new batch 052D DDG (probably the last boat of this cohort (not batch) built by Dalian) has been there for quite some time already.

Official hint that the 4th ship is nuclear, and it might have the hull number "19"

The name “He Jian” is a homophone of “nuclear vessel” in Chinese, which refers to a nuclear-powered warship.

Regarding the promotional video itself, Zhang added with a touch of literary flair. “As the saying goes, there are a thousand Hamlets in a thousand people’s eyes.”
China has a right to self defense and military modernization in reaction to evolving security environment. Standard language. The hamlet allusion is funny because what other interpretation is available?

Technically Guangxi is not a province, and unlikely a carrier will ever be named after it. But its sad that Hebei, a core coastal province that was among the first to industrialize only has slightly higher GDP/capita than Guangxi, which is just a collection of villages in mountains and jungle. Least they could do is name a carrier after Hebei.
That’s in part because Tianjin and Beijing’s GDP don’t count toward’s Hebei. Hebei is the only province that has two of its original cities carved out into province level municipalities.

Never met a Hebei person before. Where in Hebei are you from, Baoding?
Course you have. I am Hebeiren.
