00X/004 future nuclear CATOBAR carrier thread

The drydock is one reason I noted before that will likely indicate Type 004 dimensions. And as I also mentioned, infrastructure is designed around anticipated capability. Therefore notions such as "They would have to move the cranes..." etc are IMO not plausible. Realistically PLAN tends to err on the side of caution in most things military capability, therefore I dont see them building a new carrier of extravagant dimensions either.
Well, lets not forget the photo of one of the QEs being apparently built in what looks like a ridiculously small drydock, it's like they built it in a shoebox. So if push comes to shove the far larger JN or DL drydocks could conceivably house much lager carriers than even the 004, which already based on what information we can glean so far seems to be heading to being the biggest carrier ever built, though of course we'll be 100% sure of the real dimensions in a few months.

Very rough measurement suggest current ship is ~320m without the bow installedView attachment 168899
I suppose we are somewhere between the 18 month and 24 month mark.
Comparing to this picture from June, the assembly progress has been quite rapid.

I guess I stand corrected, I never would have thought they’d build the stern all the way to the very back of the drydock.

Hold on guys.. I was thinking this 320m length claim through. The drydock here in question at Dalian is only 370m long at best.

Comparing that to the length of the ship, wouldn't it just be 300m long? Are we sure we just aren't just jumping on the 320m length bandwagon because we yearn for it? I'm going to need a good explanation here for the 320 claim now because I'm very confused.

This does not mean the waterline length cannot be 333m. I'm just trying to correctly scale everything. If we look at the keel blocks in the drydock still. It still indicates the waterline may be 333m long. It's just that at this current moment, the ship does not appear to be 320m, only 300m long.

Perhaps because the bulbous bow has not been installed, the front part may not be completely completed according to the situation, and the waterline length of 320 meters can not be completely determined at present, but this does not mean that the current guess direction is completely wrong.

Yes I understand, I just was thinking it was worth it to point out that the length currently without the bow installed cannot be 320m long. As the stern is basically touching the lock gates, a bow would make the waterline length blast past 350m, which would make zero sense.

I'm pretty sure it's 400m, as many have said previously here
