I told you guys that Iran will go for Tiananmen 2.0 style crackdown and they can survive a heavy crackdown due to IRGC being extremely loyal and they have the Basij Militia. Iran's poltical structure is actually similar to a communist country with a party army and party militia. They can do heavy crackdown and still survive.

Saudi Arabia already has deep strong ties with the US/west. It’s just that their leaders have been smart in hedging their bets and also having good ties with other powers like China/Russia . So they get good deals from all sides. Which is how middle powers have to behave. Don’t be antagonistic towards any superpower , especially not the reigning superpower. Be friendly and have good strong ties with every power.
