The two J-20s are not just duplicated. Look at how differently the left canard and right vertical stabilizer intersect for each aircraft. There're other noticeable differences too, like the shadows on the right ventral fins.

It could be a matter of one pilot pushing the door close button slightly later than the other?

Agreed and even this image has probably been modified by some sort in order to look much better - HEY, it is an advertising poster for a film! - I cannot understand how anyone does not notice the difference. They are too much different both in position and flight situation !

YES, we've seen a lot more or less obviously psed images but here to think it is a CGI is a bit farfetched.

Back to another issue we already had some time ago, when the new TK-31 helmet was shown. Here again an image from the rear and so the question again: Is this only a new light-weight helmet or a HMD?

My hunch tells me that it's simply a new light weight helmet because:

1) If it has HMD, I don't see why the PLAAF wouldn't reveal that information, even if just a brief mention.

2) In your photo, the fisheye lens might have made the visor appear further from the pilot's face than in reality. In other photos of the helmet, the visor seems too close to the wearer's face to function as a projection surface. But on the other hand, there's nothing stopping them from turning the visor itself into an active display. The tech is available to 'print' pixels onto a clear substrate.

3) Your photo shows the pilot flying a two-seater J-10 (?), judging from the explosive cord in the canopy and the old-style HUD, which you can make out in the photo below. I seems unlikely for the PLAAF to issue a HMS-enabled helmet to pilots flying such an 'antiquated' platform. But for all I know, they might have upgraded the J-10A to work with the new helmet, if it's indeed a HMS. But all in all, my hunch tells me no.

Thanks a lot. These two canopy breakers are the hint to solve what type it is ... but the helmet I posted - at least IMO - is the same one used by the J-20's pilots.

You misunderstood me a bit. I think it's the same helmet used by the J-20 pilots. I meant that because your photo was taken using a fisheye lens, it might have distorted its proportions, making the visor appear much further away from the pilot's face than what is the case in reality.

Promotional poster for the upcoming movie 'Sky Hunter'.

Sorry about the large photo, but this is worth it.

Just noted Your post with that MEAG-HUGE image ! Indeed, simply amazing.

Are there more of these images available, also for the other types ?

Thanks! That would explain a lot and also my suspicion that something wasn't right with the MFDs in Deino's photo because they are rectangular, whereas J-10A's MFDs were more square looking.

There is one more, but it's a partial shot of the naval Z-8, focusing mostly on the actors and actresses who sat in its cockpit. Nothing interesting.
