His firm discrediting any state (non-US) owned entity and faithful belief of "my guy" reminds me of someone here.
Doesn't taking salaries from the government make BBC a state owned propaganda machine? A British government's mouth-piece?
BTW, BBC is a SOE in every sense. The BBC Trust is the owner, the trustees are appointed by the monarch on the advice of the government just like the ministers. The head of BBC, Director General (CEO), is appointed by the Trust.
It is long overdue to bust the myth of "independent" reporting. They are independent from the people, but dependent on the government or the money groups.
This is all well and good, but what I demand to know is how much aid has the US led coalition allowed into ISIS controlled areas of Mosul and assurances that no children have been hurt in the coalition airstrike bombings!

since then, ..., also Eastern Kurds were able to gain some territory from ISIL and most recently encircled
so I schematically updated the above map with the orange dotted line (an expansion of the territory under the Kurdish control) and the black dotted line (behind which ISIL still is (in middle-bottom, and in Arima)):
