VinFast is more like Vinscam. It was not able to sell much EVs in the US after so many fanfare. More importantly, nobody is interested in the IPO so its founder and his companies need to inject more money and hoping to find suckers to buy its shares.

Out of curiosity, i read some reviews and the drive quality is supposedly like 90s Kia/Hyudais :D . Under-powered and broken suspensions. One reviewer says you can visually see them bouncing all around a smooth road.

U.S. aerospace company Textron Inc won a $279 million verdict on Friday against Chinese drone maker DJI Technology, persuading a federal jury in Waco, Texas that DJI willfully infringed its patents in two patents related to drone flight control systems.
"Textron is a military helicopter company. DJI is a civilian drone company. No commonality exists between the technologies," DJI said.

I noticed a lot of Eastern Europeans (that is the average joe type) have a total misconception of China based on their own history.
Because China is ruled by a "Communist Party", they are instantly coloured by the feelings of their own country's history which is frankly irrelevant to the discussion.

Many don't seem to grasp the fundamental difference (probably due to ignorance of history) that the rule of the Communist Party was not something forced onto China by an outside power like the USSR, but something literally implemented by choice through spilled blood.

On top of this, basically the Chinese Communists and Soviet Communists had no relationship after Stalin's death, this is why they had such radical differences in policy reforms.

Since the USA can take a lot of responsibility for the collapse of the USSR, many Eastern Europeans are thankful for being "freed from communism", and to be honest, rightfully so. Most of them have very little interest in going back to that system. However China is fine with being "communist", so it is easy to make a bogeyman out of them.
In case you haven't realized, 80% if not more of the world's population are frankly simpletons. Not because they are dumb or stupid rather humans are fundamentally lazy. Most are too busy working, raising families and seeking forms of entertainment to deep dive into geopolitics.
Just like thier European peers on Chinese history and their 'brand of communism, the average Chinese citizen is likely to be just as ignorant of Eastern European history and post Soviet era geopolitics.

Coronation ‘insult’ as China to send architect of Hong Kong oppression as guest

Beijing accused of 'outrageous' provocation with expected attendance of Han Zheng, known for role in pro-democracy protests crackdown
The architect of China’s crackdown on Hong Kong’s pro-democracy protests is set to represent Beijing at the King’s Coronation.

Han Zheng, China’s vice-president, is expected to fly to London next week for the ceremony, in a move that threatens a diplomatic storm.
Mr Han, 69, was in charge of China’s response to demonstrations in Hong Kong in 2019 in which thousands of campaigners were arrested, many were injured and some were shot and killed.

At the time, Mr Han described the demonstrations as “extreme and destructive acts” that would not be tolerated.
On Wednesday, senior Conservative MPs accused Mr Han of being responsible for overriding the international treaty struck between the UK and China that was supposed to guarantee democratic freedom to Hong Kong for 70 years following the 1997 handover.

Chinese police question employees at Bain’s Shanghai office

Visit comes after a series of retaliatory moves from Beijing against western businesses
Chinese police have visited the Shanghai offices of Bain & Company and questioned employees at the US management consulting group, in the latest case of heightened scrutiny of foreign businesses in China as tensions between Beijing and Washington rise.
Six people familiar with the situation said Chinese police had made a surprise visit two weeks ago. Police took away computers and phones but did not detain any team members, according to two people briefed on the incident.
The raid has particularly fuelled concern at American companies that were already worried about signs that Beijing may be stepping up retaliatory action because of measures taken against Chinese firms by the administration of Joe Biden.
US Treasury secretary Janet Yellen last week voiced concerns about what she described as “a recent uptick in coercive actions targeting US firms”.

Love the message china’s sending, like sending Oberyn Martell to King’s Landing.

Also, these presstitute mouthpieces had no problem with John Bolton visiting the UK. This coming century is going to be unkind to white Anglo supremacists.

First EVs, now cloud services, next superconductors. Piece by piece, China is dismantling Anglo American tech monopoly and pricing power. To use Anglo American mouthpiece speak, China is “rolling back” Anglo influence and “ripping out” Anglo tech.
Vae Victus.
