Mini's second attempt at salvaging the situation

TLDR: they had 600 ice cream to give away over the 2 days, they gave away about 300 on 18th. The claim is a small amount of the ice cream are set aside for staff and the 4-5 foreign looking people are staff and not random people.


People aren't really buying this new explanation.

Anna Bareback is talking badly about China anyways so maybe BMW's China market share will be the price for Germany to pay. There are plenty of Chinese luxury EV companies that are more deserving of those profits anyways.

I am not big on cars so you will have to clarify. Defender is EV or uses sodium ion technology?

People advocating for 'euroatlantic bond to the grave' and people doing business in China are typically the opposite camps.
Public outcry will hurt enough in any case, esp. in current ultra-competitive climate.

Honestly, I don't think this is a super big deal. Probably the f-up of some low to middle management. BMW can atone by making an official apology to the Chinese people and small donation of 20 million USD to poverty alleviation in a province of their choice.

Sorry but I just see this as another Defender Copycat.

The Defender looks clunky and outdated. This Chery is way better, and the design is what the Defender should have looked like.
