My older son is 15, he's working a couple of hours (around 12 ) a week in a restaurant, started at 14. Never pushed him to do so but he work with a bunch of friends and it's better than arguing with him to get his a** off the sofa in front of a screen.Modern day Child labor. Republican family values. It is time for China to ban American products that are produced and manufactured by Child labor.
I cannot see reasons for him to work to save the economy or the industry sector because of labor shortages. Factories or construction sites are way off limits for teens and I cannot see him work more than that. But for a kid to work at that age for their personnal reasons, I cannot say no.
