Pelosi was Speaker of the House because she knew how to raise money for the DNP. What does AoC offer? The woke mob? I don't think they're that powerful anymore now that the economy is going to hell.
Even with Gen Z, I don't know if their voter base is influential enough to make a difference. The political weight is heavily skewed toward the older Boomers and to a lesser extent Millenials. Younger people don't vote very much and the older generations are a lot bigger and have more money.
I personally don't think a lot of Democrats like her that much anymore since she wore the "Kill the Rich" dress to the Met Gala. She is just another "virtue signaling" fake politician that doesn't actually care about her supporters.

Right now, what they have is a communist system in America, for the rich people involved in banking, investment banking, real estate, and medical products like pills. The money never stops coming into their pockets, and they can do no wrong. If they do screw it up, then the costs are paid by someone else, and they get to continue unscathed. That is really is communism, in a practical sense.
That is the system the 1% enjoys, with the government bailouts and patent laws.
What about the 99%? Who cares, they do not know what is going on.
The system in America is so far gone, there are too many vested interests, and too many lawyers protecting their clients to maintain their vested interests, there is absolutely no way the system can change for the 1%. They will continue enjoying rentier profits, while the 99% remain clueless.

This TikTok ban is largely a non-story.
It is very interesting that way. Compare the news coverage of the US Congress trying to ban TikTok to that recent train derailment and toxic spill. I read rumours that it was not a bad as initially thought. But even that they will not report.
It's like everything is the Twilight Zone. Where make believe is real. And vice versa.
If those politicians continue down this path of trying to ban TikTok, it will wind up in court in front of a US federal judge I would imagine.
They know that, because they are all lawyers those US politicians.
But there is the dirty trick here. The US Congress will not ban TikTok, it will be the president who does it. So the US Congress will claim the credit if it works, and if it does not work everyone will blame Biden.
I would be very surprised if the US court system does not throw out the same case just like last time.
