TikTok in America is not some small outlet with a headcount of several hundred Chinese H1-B's reporting to Mainland HQ, it is a legit operation employing 8,000 people. And unlike Baidu, which only Chinese people use and would want to work for, TikTok is the most recognizable Chinese brand in America so the workforce is very diverse. So in Tom's eyes, everyone from a fresh out of college engineer who wanted the distinction of working for such a recognizable global brand, to somebody who simply spent a few months on contract maintaining the snack room, is committing treason.

I know the general wisdom is that its better for Republicans to win 2024, since they'll deal a deathblow to American soft power and democracy. And that may be so, but do understand that anyone with a yellow face in America will most definately start having to wear yellow stars on their arms.

Greedy foolish capitalist. That's because their economy is more industrialized instead of financialized. And that's a really good thing. Look no further than modern UK and even US for how a heavily financialized economy can lead you to self-destruction via immense systemic vulnerabilities.

The Fed never learned from 2008 financial meltdown and allowed interest rate to stay near zero for 13 years. Now, another domino is going to fall after rapidly raising interest rate to fight inflation. No wonder small and midsize banks are under stress. Its investment in treasures have incurred large losses and couple with loans losses from commercial real estate, small and midsize banks would suffer double whammy.

Those politicians, all lawyers, think of the CEO to TikTok, as some dumb immigrant who does not know the laws in America.

Those lawyers think they can trick TikTok into selling, thereby America will control all the social media of the world.

Well guess what? The joke is on them, because that TikTok CEO is not some dumb Chinese immigrant, he's Singaporean.

And as we all know, Singapore is a Chinese city, in China, China, China, Chyna!

President Volodymyr Zelensky didn’t receive a proposal to mediate peace between Ukraine and Russia from China, he told the Japan News.

Zelensky said that he gave "straight messages" through the diplomatic channels that he wanted to speak with China's leader Xi Jinping but didn't get a response.

“I did not get a proposal from China to mediate. I didn’t get a proposal to meet,” he said.

Zelensky also expressed skepticism about China’s 12-point proposal calling for a ceasefire and peace negotiations between Russia and Ukraine, saying that “respect of sovereignty and territorial integrity” must come first.

China has so far refused to condemn Russia's aggression against Ukraine and annexation of Ukrainian territories, which is at odds with respect for international law and sovereignty outlined in the plan.
