I've said this before that Americans contrary to what they say they value, they want to control communication between people. They want English only because they want to know what people are saying. They don't like Huawei because it's about communication technology they don't control. They hate the Xi-Putin meeting and the Saudi-Iran deal deal because they weren't a part of it knowing what was going on and didn't have a say. They tell black people Asians are racist and then tell Asians blacks are the ones behind anti-Asian violence in the US. They don't want anyone communicating with one another without their permission and their involvement.

Divide and conquer has historically been the go-to strategy for the U.S since its inception. I’m not sure if the American sense of entitlement (such as demanding people speak English) is the cause or the result.

Lula seeks diplomatic role as Latin American nations resist aligning with west over conflict

Brazilian president Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva will propose a “peace club” with China to mediate an end to the conflict in Ukraine when he travels to Beijing this week to meet President Xi Jinping.

"We are very interested in promoting or helping generate some kind of meeting that would lead to a peace process,” Mauro Vieira, Brazil’s foreign minister, told the Financial Times in an interview.

“The president has said so many times he hears a lot about war but very few words about peace. He is interested in peace conversations.”

Lula said earlier this year he would promote the idea of a group of mediating countries, saying “it is time for China to get its hands dirty”. “My suggestion is that we create a group of countries that try to sit at the table with Ukraine and Russia to try to find peace,” he added.

Biden-Xi Call Will Come Later Than the US Hoped as China Ties Fray​

(Bloomberg) -- US officials now expect that a phone call between President Joe Biden and China’s President Xi Jinping won’t happen as soon as they had hoped, as ties between the world’s two biggest economies continue to fray, according to people familiar with the matter.

China’s leaders still haven’t responded to US requests to set up the call, which American officials had said would take place soon after an annual meeting of the country’s legislature, the National People’s Congress, concluded March 13, said the people, who asked not to be identified discussing private deliberations.

The US now expects a call won’t happen until after Taiwan’s president passes through the US in early April, the people said. That stop, which Chinese officials have already criticized, may include a meeting with House Speaker Kevin McCarthy.
