Not sure what are you talking about. Chinese smartphones companies have their own app system that Google has no control whatsoever. If Apple wanted to ban Douyin, then Apple is finished. Last time Apple tried to go against Tencent, it folded very quickly because users have threatened to abandon Apple for Wechat. Beside, the Chinese government would ban Apple if it tried something like this.

Huawei has never had any problem selling it smartphones in China with its own system. It is the ban on chips that caused Huawei to lose the ability to produce top tier phones.

Not even ban on chips directly... Ban on Huawei making it's own chips using tools that have more than 1% US tech down to screws and bolts by threatening 3rd party suppliers.

Didn't China's envoy not long ago said something about willingness to mediate in Beijing? I don't remember if it was about Israeli-Palestinian or SA-Iran. But it was about western Asia. At the time, lots of people were still very skeptical. I think there is a big chance now after SA-Iran deal. Just like SA and Iran tired of fighting in a stalemate and searching for security guarantees from a mutual friend. Israel know that it can not rely on a declining US to defend itself from hostile Arabs around it, like SA Israel has to look for alternatives. Palestinians know Israel is not going anywhere. The reason of earlier effort failed is precisely because US and its proxies inside Israel do not want a settlement. Now after the example of SA-Iran, we may see Israel changing course. And the US threat of withholding aid to Israel may become teeth-less because who need such aid if there is no threat.
