There is no way Russia can win with just 300K soldiers when Ukraine has more than 500k to a million soldiers being mobilized, trained and getting western equipment like tanks and air defense missiles. Russia can make occasional advances like it did last year when it took Lyman but then lost huge chunks when ukraine started its attack. Russia is bleeding in terms of manpower and weapons. That's why Most western media is confident ukraine will again win huge chunks of land when the Spring offensive starts.
Russia needs to make a fundamental strategic change in order to win. They will have to mobilize hundreds of thousands of new soldiers and also ramp up their industry for producing millions of munitions and new equipment. OR they are doomed.

A certain pretext for a sudden entry? Sounds like they know exactly what provocation they are planning that will trigger a huge response from China. The only rumors this year was a US congressional visit or a trip by McCarthy to the island. Looks like it got green lit since they are saying it will happen this year.
It's gonna get ugly as we approach the next US presidential election at the end of next year.
If Trump wins, 2025 will be the year that he takes office. Which is also the year that many American warmongers mentioned, that war with China will take place.
As much as Trump is a moron, his presidency was actually just as damaging as Biden's. Trump had started the trade wars and instigated the anti-China wave. He unleashed Covid-19 on the Chinese people. Which backfired disastrously. That is why he pulled the US out of the WHO and went on a 'China Virus' campaign. He was going nuts towards the end of 2020. Near the end of 2020, General Miley had to call his Chinese counterpart to calm down. I don't really know what the hell happened. Did both of them saw Trump brewing something up?
As much as I hate Biden. I hate Trump even more. He surrounds himself with Republican yellow peril madmen. He is unapologetically racist. He is the true face of America. As we can see, Trump is not done with China yet. Trump 2.0 can potentially outdo the damage that Joe Biden had done so far. He might be so stupid as to finally collapse the US economy and shun allies. But that could be potentially even more dangerous for world peace. Because we never know how Trump and the US would take it.
What ever China's plan for the future. Prepare for war now. It doesn't even need to be another Republican presidency. America is going nuts now. They might come from the shadows, or from the sea. Please don't get surprised by your enemies again.

There is nothing magical about dated equipment like Leopard 2A4 tanks. They won't fare any better than the T-64 mod 2017. The Ukrainians had close to a thousand of those tanks or similar when the conflict started. As for air defense, a couple of hacked together inferior Western systems won't be able to even replace the Soviet era systems Ukraine had properly.
And this supposed much vaunted "spring offensive" it won't happen until the mud dries up which won't happen any time soon. And even if it does, you cannot replace trained soldiers with fresh troops just like that, reality is not a computer game.
After the French. It is now the Poles who are suing Russia for not selling them oil.
There is still the rumored/planned congressional visit. I guess we will find out if it ever materialize.
So the month ends, the French are supposed to pay their gas bill to Gazprom in Russia, the French fail to pay, and then they want to sue because the Russians cut the gas supply due to their non compliance with payment. What a bunch of entitled pricks.
Same deal with the Poles. They expect not to pay Russia and continue getting oil. Get out of here.
