I'm taking KC.

The rationale is geopolitical.

It times like these, the gods tend to mete out inconsequential justice.

Andy Reid was fired by the Philadelphia organization, more like ran out of town because the fans in Philly at that point blame him for everything, for not winning a Superbowl, and the most successful coach in Eagles history to that point, was canned.

Philly fans are famous for booing Santa Claus.

I don't like Philly fans, although booing Santa Claus is an irresistible touch I find. However, the rest of America, probably hate Philly fans.

Hence, the football gods will probably grant the rest of America their wish, mete out some poetic justice, have Coach Reid beat his old team who fired him, and sticking it to Philly fans at the same time.

The people who boo Santi Claus.

Boo! Boo! Hiss!

:oops::D
I love Eagles Fans. Their villainy is so over the top that it is hard not to like them unless you are on the receiving end of their chucked snowballs or batteries. They are pretty much comic book villains in real life.

Anyone saw the news about someone in "UN" being "very concerned" about "forced" boarding school in Tibet? Of course some people immediately jumped into the whole "residential school, China bad!" without even asking what was actually taught in the school. But then again, it's r*ddit, so I don't know why I expected anything different -_-

Sweden bans Koran burning protest

Sweden’s national police force announced on Tuesday that the latest protest application had been refused, explaining that “such a gathering is judged to be capable of causing serious disturbances to national security.”

The national police force said that it made the decision to reject the application for a second protest after discussions with the Swedish Security Police.

Didn’t take long for Sweden to flip flop (even if it’s mild) after Finland said they will continue on their own application without them lol.

They're boarding schools, because you know, Tibet is a huge area with low population density and if you make the students travel to school each day it would take up huge amount of their time.

Come to think of it though, my wife did go to a boarding school for senior high school too and she's from a 2nd line city, and after she graduated she joined the CPC too, so maybe there is something there... ;)

  • Ambassador to France says US had apparently offered assurances that it would not shoot down the balloon and seemed to have accepted Beijing’s explanation
  • Lu Shaye tells French TV that it would have been ‘inappropriate’ for the US secretary of state to visit in the wake of Washington’s recent anti-China actions
A senior Chinese diplomat said it would have been pointless for US Secretary of State Antony Blinken to visit China because Washington had provoked Beijing on many fronts recently.
Lu Shaye, the ambassador to France, also said it was “shocking” the US had shot down an alleged spy Chinese balloon because Washington had apparently offered assurances it would not do so and expressed its “understanding” of Beijing’s explanation that it was a weather balloon that was blown off course.
He said China shot down balloons when there were “strong suspicions about the motives”, but in this case: “What is shocking is that the Americans had already expressed understanding vis-à-vis China’s explanations and had apparently promised not to shoot it down.”
China had told the US it was a civilian vessel used to monitor the weather that had strayed off course “completely accidentally”.
“I feel that the US accepted China’s explanation at the beginning,” Lu said, citing a previous Pentagon statement saying the airship would not pose a risk to the military or people on the ground, and “they asked China to let the airship leave US airspace as soon as possible”.
