You know the weird thing about this all is this:

- Both China and Taiwan send help

- Both India and Pakistan send help

- Both Russia and Ukraine send help

The world is making it more difficult for Erdogan!
Greece too like wtf? Weren't they/aren't they on the brink of war over some islands in the Aegean?

While everyone here knows the extent of tragedy in Turkey, I am very concerned about things in Syria. There has been very little coverage about it and given that it is a war torn nation, I worry that they may not get enough rescue resources.
From what I've seen on (social) media, the whole world is rushing to help Turkey but Syria not so much. A tragedy because natural disasters shouldn't be politicized.

UNICEF NZ has a dedicated appeal for the Syria earthquake. Checked Red Cross NZ, no dedicated appeal yet.

Not sure about their branches in other countries.

Returning (or not) of the wreckage is NOT the concern of China, nor is China pressing for its return. What the US is doing so far is deflect. What China demanded to hear is "forcefully intercepting (American) civilian object in the future is alright with US.", basically that was what China's MoD has said.

Nobody ever expects US to respond to that demand, therefor China's pressing isn't aiming at getting a reply but to make it loud and clear to the world that China will do the same when she wants.
