They should of had Russia send it up.

Not sure about offical gov policy, but it seems there are some Chinese nationals in the states that do some crazy stuff that are pretty bad (for other chinese people living there) like outright going into secure bases to take photos, joining a company to steal proprietary secrets , etc

Another important question - Does China have the methods of shooting down similar intruding high-altitude loitering balloons and airships without resorting to expensive methods i.e. ASAT missiles?

Mevlut Cavusoglu holds phone conversation with Qin Gang, says Foreign Ministry​

Turkish Foreign Minister Mevlut Cavusoglu on Thursday congratulated Qin Gang on assuming charge as the foreign minister of China.

According to a statement by the Turkish Foreign Ministry, Cavusoglu and Qin held a phone conversation in which they also discussed bilateral political and economic cooperation, and the relations of the two countries in the multilateral platforms.

"Minister Cavusoglu also emphasized to Minister Qin Gang our expectations and sensitivities regarding the Uyghur Turks in the Xinjiang Uyghur Autonomous Region," the statement read.

I believe China doesn't trust NK deep down, and vice versa. I remember reading that Kim's grandpa told Kim's dad not to trust the CPC on his deathbed.

If there's any mistrust it's their problem. Chinese forces left North Korea without hesitation upon Kim's request even though in 1956 the PRC held literally all the leverage.

It will be very hard to teach a lesson to Turkey as long as Germany is the core of Euro-Atlantic alliance.
