That bridging thing is nonsence. US tanks went all over Croatia and Bosnia-Hercegovina, Albania, Macedonia, Kosovo, and not a single bridge collapsed. All bridges are allways over-engineered to be able to have much more weight than necesarry. They might need to go one-by-one, but they certainly can cross and sort of modern bridge.

I just checked quickly , and example Hungary has 40tons of limit on lot of brdiges.

There are countless bridge than can't support even T-72 tanks.

There are roads that can accomodate Abrams tanks, as special delivery, but it means big part of the country not accessable by them.


Means you deploy them where you can, not where you want.

It's targets are in the front lines if you consider targets include short to medium range AD and counter battery radar and is always within drone reach. If you never had proof of it striking something then maybe it never struck anything at all, and the claim of kill cannot be validated. Yet at the same time footage of long range radar kills by Lancets not only include internal camera view but also external camera views from UAVs. We are talking about kills that include S-300 search radars.

All the bridges, everywhere, so in Ukraine, Russia or Hungary too, are over-engineered with safety margins at least 1,5-2x as necesarry. So, if some bridge is limited for say 40 t, that means that it will not collapse without 60-70 t at least. I once crossed over a 5 t-limit bridge with a 15 t bus- and? Nothing happened.

So, if some bridge is limited for say 40 t, that means that it will not collapse without 60-70 t at least. I once crossed over a 5 t-limit bridge with a 15 t bus- and? Nothing happened.

Dont forget the 60 tons tweight is only for tank, the traile+ truck additional 42-43 tons.

Means an abrams on transport 110 tons with the truck+trailer.

So, at the bridge they unload the tank, its pass on its own, overloading only by 50% the bridge, and on the other side goes back : D

Lot of way to pay, but the main problem is the tank itself has an only 5 meters long contact area.
Means on many places the trailer train will be less stress tothe bridge with its 110 tons than the single tank with its 60 tons.

Quite complicated, in practice every bridge needs individual assesment , the typical weight loads for long trucks , not for small but extremly heavy tanks.

And these are only for slowly, nicely transport the tank on the bridge.

If there is a need for higher speed, with applying the breaks or turning the train then the bridge can jump off from the dilatation supports.

Almost certainly is just a name change and nothing else. It’s clear Russia has been fighting a war in every sense. Massive amounts of troops have been put to use and more are being brought up as forces are depleted. I don’t suspect much else changing.
