The base T-72B Obr 1989 armor with K5 could defeat the western APFSDS rounds of the time from the front, including the M829. With newer thermals, better ERA and modernized FCS still is a valid tank, its main limitations being that the carousel can't handle the newer longer penetrators used by the T-80BVM and T-90M, lack of reverse speed and RWS.
Didn't the T-72B3 variants have been upgraded with 125mm 2A46M-5 gun that should be capable allowed use longer APFSDS penetrator?

Ukrainian troops evacuating the wounded.

Translated:

TRIBUN-TIMUR.COM - There are many recordings circulating showing the process of evacuating injured Ukrainian troops on the battlefield. The recording was widely circulated on Telegram on Tuesday, December 6, 2022. The description for the upload mentioned the evacuation of a wounded soldier near Bakhmut with a construction cart. Ambulances are no longer relied on because they are said to be not enough now. A number of Ukrainian troops were seen evacuating their colleagues using carts and being pushed to a safer place. During the evacuation process they were under the onslaught of Russian artillery. The sound of explosions was clear, the Zelensky Troop occasionally taking cover on their stomachs on the ground. Luckily they reportedly managed to survive.

I have no idea what happened here. Someone put a grenade right into the tank. My impression is deliberate fratricide.

TRIBUN-TIMUR.COM - A recording was circulating on Social Media Telegram on Wednesday (7/12/2022).

The footage shows the destruction of a Polish-supplied Ukrainian T-72M1 tank.
One of the soldiers deliberately kept a grenade in the parked tank.
As a result, the T-72M1 tank immediately exploded causing a huge flame.
Until this video circulated, it was not known for certain how many victims died in this incident.
However, this recording has received various comments from netizens.

Maybe the tank commander decided he doesn't want to die for Uncle Sam.

As the losses of the Ukranin units increase there will be examples of armed mutiny, when they actually start to shoot the commanders/ SS units.

Same point in future from game theory standpoint the danger of align with commands will be more than doing armed mutiny.

The increased frequency of execution by the Ukranan SS units showing this tendency.

As I see the starlink has the biggest impact on the Ukrainan war. More than anything else.

Without that the Russians finished the war long time ago.

And the USA using the starltink to destabilise Iran, and they will try the same in China.
At the same time Russia/China started to plan similar constellations, with 3000-5000 satelites. Means in a decade time there will be 15-25k satelite in low earth orbit.

Will create an interesting situation, if example the USA shoot down any of the satelites then it will start to decompose, and practically closing down the LEO for decades.

So, as I see we are at the end of the space age.

Doesn't apply to China. Starlink needs ground stations every 500 miles and those are located in NATO countries that Russia can't reach without escalating.

I think the Chinese CIA assets will survive with 100-150 latency , in worst case they won't play online FPS games, but concentrate to coordinate the destabilisation of the Chinese society .

It is not the gorund stations that needs to be disabled, but the satelites.

And due to the high number of them they will generate an unpassable debris cloud. If not the starlink then the Chinese or Russian one, when the USA start to shoot them down.
