The War in the Ukraine

US already blew most of its Cold War stockpiles in their adventures in the Middle East. And much of the West's military production facilities were shuttered after the end of the Cold War. While the same happened in Russia, the difference is in Russia the MIC is mostly owned by the State at this time, and at least some arms production facilities were kept open. The US's lack of artillery shells, happened because they closed down most of the government arsenals. And you cannot just build munitions factories on a drop of a hat.

No country would be able to simply ramp up production to meet the needs of ukraine. This amount of production requires total war like economic mobilization. The only reason russia can keep up is due to old Cold War stockpiles.

Didn’t the Russians already say they shifted into a war economy some time ago. Also the West heavily depends on private sector to fulfill their military obligations but the Russians do not follow the same principle. The private sector requires lucrative deals for profits and to outweighs the risks that the state won’t bail out of their contract in the future after they expand. Russia owns a significant chuck of the MIC as a state corporation and do not have the same risks as their private counterparts.

Imagine using a Buk to down a Ka-52. Either ran out of manpads or Vitebsk is actually pretty efective.

As if what happened in Engels is actually an attack organized by the SBU, guess the next wave of missile attacks will likely take out what's left of Ukraine's infrastructure
The slowed down footage makes me believe that it was an S300 and not a buk.

Another Ka-52 was shot down yesterday.

Russians claims drones hit their airbase hundreds of kilometers away from Ukrainian border.

Wow! But what could have caused this? I know there are reports about an Ukrainian kamikaze drone with the range of 1000 km, but the explosion looks like something much bigger?!

A well supported Ukrainian group assaulted Russian positions. The Russians fired back. You can see Ukrainian vehicles firing, maneuvering and getting blown up.

Ukrainian attempt to sneak into positions was caught by the 6th Cossack Regiment who opened fire with deadly results.
