You can kill someone with a car, plea guilty, and walk out smiling though:
Sacoolas was charged with causing death by dangerous driving but the Crown Prosecution Service (CPS) accepted her guilty plea to the lesser charge.
Death by careless driving carries a maximum sentence of five years imprisonment but a community punishment or suspended jail sentence is often given.

China’s response should be to deploy a detachment of PLA Marines since the British police manifestly failed in their duty to protect the Chinese embassy and staff’s security.
Beating the cockroach to defend the Chinese diplomat he was attacking on Chinese embassy grounds was indeed undignified, China should look to the example of how the ‘pinnacle of western civilisation’, the USA would have responded to a similar terrorist attack on US embassy grounds and personnel.
Truss did but she did not get the chance to make it an official stance, I think.
