I would prefer that Paraguay demands 10 billion dollars from Taiwan annually as their "let-us-remain-as-friends-but-let-me-suck-your-wallet-dry" fee instead just so that they could drain Taiwan's coffers from buying more US weapons.
Beneficial for China as well.

It is sad, considering China dont really have to do this due to her sheer market size. I assume the indirect trade Paraguay does with China(done through 3rd party states like Argentina and Brazil due to lack of official relation) is already way more than with TW's.

A fact most don’t seem to appreciate because it’s counter-intuitive at face value, is that junk food is significantly cheaper than fresh, healthy foods.
Junk foods are generally made from poor quality ingredients, highly processed and pumped full of salt, sugar, additives and artificial flavouring to disguise the low quality inputs; with a lot of preservatives added for long shelf life.
There is a strong correlation between obesity and low social economic status in the west because the poor cannot afford health, fresh produce and instead consume pre-processed junk foods as their primary food source.
So higher food prices will actually paradoxically lead to increasing obesity in the west.
