Dirty little bit@he’s still want to play even when things are falling apart. Clearly needs to have a situation where actual American soldiers to perish in large numbers for the USA to really start questioning there collective brain cells about the dangers of war. Not like in Ukraine where the Ukrainians are proud to die for democracy to the last Ukrainian because if they did have an ounce of respect for their own lives, Zelensky would be gone by now, especially after this latest stuff up with his gay fat friend Boris. I wonder how many Ukrainians need to die for the collective nation to question if it is worth it being Americas bit@h
The last time the US felt the pains of war like civilians displaced en masse, life sustaining infrastructure destroyed, towns burned and looted, families shattered, was the American Civil War. They have largely forgotten how horrible war actually is. Meanwhile, such things are in living memory for most Chinese today. All four of my grandparents were born in IJA occupied Jiangsu and they grew up in the death and turmoil of the Chinese Civil War.

US Allows Trump-Era China Tariffs to Continue Pending Review

Looks like Biden still wants to use tariffs as leverage when meeting Xi in Nov.
Maybe China shouldn’t bother selling goods to the USA or rather sell them in lesser and lesser quantities instead if they still want to complain about not getting a good deal. In the future, it’s either you treat us well or you get nothing in the end because what does China get from trading with the USA other then dollars, when those dollar will eventually buy nothing.

What it means is Biden has been begging for China to give something in return to end tariffs. He got nothing because to end them without getting something in return would make the US look weak. Remember Trump believed China would collapse day 1 of his trade war. It's been four years since Trump started his trade war and no collapse except in the West's dreams.

You can't think about the Japanese mental state with normal logic.
Japanese politicians are in fact hereditary aristocrats, they lack compassion for the people at the bottom.Since the LDP has strengthened its power to appoint and remove personnel, those civil servants have become more dependent on the ruling party.

Recently, a senior leader of Japan's police was forced to resign. He is very good at pleasing Shinzo Abe and the LDP regime. This senior leader of the police has personally issued instructions on many occasions, asking the police to act in favor of the LDP. As a result, Abe was assassinated for this excessive flattery:The local police had warned that they lacked the ability to defend dignitaries, and other politicians had abandoned their propaganda activities in the area, but Shinzo Abe was not prevented from doing so.

Therefore, under such circumstances, it is unrealistic to expect the congress and the military to oppose the war. They will prioritize their personal political future. In order to improve its political status, the JSDF is very likely to ask to participate in the war.Casualties? That's not what those who don't have to go to the front need to care about, and the Americans will finish things for them.

From historical experience, as long as the Japanese have a little advantage, they will not consider the gap in strength at all. They took the initiative to attack without knowing the strength of their opponents many times.

This is a national defense strategy book written by four retired JSDF generals:

One army general, two air force generals, and one navy general.
They bluntly stated that Taiwan is the most important area for Japan's security(台湾は日本にとって安全保障上の最重要地域である).
Although they have retired, they can also show JSDF's political attitude to a certain extent.
Unfortunately, a number of retired JDSF generals have shown militaristic tendencies and contempt for the PLA.
Those who only care about whether their status will rise will not care about the risks brought to Japan by failure.
this is 100% correct. the more you understand Japanese, the more you realize that they might write Chinese characters but their thinking is the opposite of Chinese.

They have been an imperialist power since feudal times. But even in feudal times Chinese had concept of 天命 where an evil emperor was destined to be overthrown, but Japanese believed emperor is 现御神 - divinity on earth.
Well, if the Japanese leadership and their Nippon Kaigi supporters insists on intervening in China's Armed Reunification, then Japan is picking the wrong fight.

China today is not the weak China ruled by the declining Qing dynasty when Meiji Japan started it's imperialism project there. It is also not the divided and chaotic China of Chiang Kai Shek that Hirohito Japan could invade and committed untold crimes and murder.

The China today is in it's most united form in it's post-imperial era. Japan will face 1.4 bil people who will be pissed off and have a special grudge against Japan. I can see this China going into total war against Japan. People, government, and military all united to deal with the Japanese threat once and for all. Japan could not defeat a divided China in WWII, it won't defeat a united China. Overseas Chinese who still care for the motherland might also start to lend their own help. A stirred up China like this will not care about economic hardships, ridicule, racism, or setbacks. It'll do everything possible to finish the AR job and defeat Japan for good.

Japan on the other hand might face revolt in Okinawa. Many Okinawans still resent Japanese rule since the Japanese conquest of the Rukyu Islands. Okinawans have been brutalized and used as cannon fodders in WWII. To be used again as cannon fodder in a war with modern China, that is not gonna go down well with them.

If the Japanese regime attempts to interfere with the liberation of Taiwan, it is very possible for the final denazification of Japan to occur. Imperial Japan was not properly punished for their crimes and this will be the time to do it.

If they're not careful, Emperor Reiwa might find himself kowtowing to Xi Jinping or Hu Chunhua in the end. It will be the final humiliation as he surrenders the Imperial Seal of Japan. He may be allowed to live as a janitor in his native 本岛大和族自治区 (Honshu Japanese Autonomous Region). Maybe he will even become like Pu Yi and allowed to join the CPC as a minor member.

I don't see Japan entering the war as necessarily a bad thing because they have been a slave of emperors and shoguns for 2000 years. It would be a good opportunity for Japanese to finally be liberated from the last shreds of their Nazi imperialism and rediscover their roots.

Isn't fukushima daiichi reactors still spewing radiation till this day? Couple of dozen hits from DF-ZF, will be the curtain for japan, will they really risk that for taiwan? I somehow doubt it, unless harakiri bullshito still prevalent in japan lol

The denazification and liberation of Japan and the Japanese peoples from lingering imperialist elements will look like this:
  1. Okinawa Prefecture to be renamed Ryukyu Kingdom
  2. Secession of Ryukyu Kingdom from Japan and return to its original and rightful status as a Chinese protectorate.
  3. To promote cross-cultural exchanges and understanding, implementation of Mandarin Chinese as a compulsory class in the Japanese curriculum. Additionally, reversion of romanji language system to kanji language system.
  4. Transformation of Yasukuni Shrine into a parking lot via surprise H-20 and PLARF bombardment. Oopsies to any 'innocent' civilians caught visiting that day
We Chinese are a peaceful and forgiving people. We do not desire to return the favor by killing 20 million Japanese, because ultimately Japanese people were also victims of the Imperialist regime. We seek only to root out and completely destroy lingering IJA elements, so that China and Japan can finally work together as equals towards creating a brighter future for humanity.
