I firmly believe that AN 225 is deliberately destroyed to label Russian's evil.
If some one can destroy Afghanistan, Iraq, Syria, Libya and bomb many other nations while bringing demonocracy one hellfire per family they surely can tell their boy to destroy the giant metal bird.

If Russia decide to built another in future i am sure they can do it better e.g They are planing to construct two Typhoon class submarines with new technologies.

Perhaps China will finally be able to finance construction of second An-225 once Ukraine gets out of US orbit like originally planned?
Russia does not need this aircraft though. They have a plan to build the PAK VTA aka "Slon" which is a quad engine with PD-35 engines. The An-225 uses six 23tf engines. 6*23=138 and 4*35=140. So the Slon would have roughly same thrust as the An-225 Mriya.
An-225 should have gone into a museum though. It and Energia/Buran. Sad really. Both deserved to retire with dignity.

as to ukraine would be agrian backwater without the USSR, that is both highly debatable, and immaterial to the amount of outrage Soviet action embed in Ukrainian society. This is because:

1. Very few places in Europe outside the area of influence of the former USSR really are agrIan backwaters withou no Industry and technology today. Some of these parts of europe were hardly more developed in 1915, before WWI and the Soviet Union, than Ukraine. So without the USSR, why would those other areas develop but not Ukraine?

2. No country easily admits to the significance of contributions made by an much resented enemy to its own progress. Without the west China would also remain a feudal backwater. Do the Chinese then think the west did right during the opium war? Neither would the Ukrainians feel good about the Russians.

When Europe was going through feudalism, China was generally much more advanced in technology.
Joseph Needham asserted that Europe's development depended significantly upon its readiness to learn from China,
though, of course, Western textbooks rarely, if ever, give the Chinese any credit for inspiring advances in the West.

stated or implied that Chinese scientists and engineers were incapable of original or creative work--a popular belief in the USA.
In response, some ethnic Chinese scientists and engineers at Hewlett-Packard criticized her for her ignorance of their original or
creative work. Did Carly Florina imagine that all they could do was copy (or 'steal') the work of their superior white colleagues?
Yet Carly Florina (a white woman) was considered the best qualified person to lead Hewlett-Packard.
