That could create a sea unintended consequences that could crash the dollar and probably the entire U.S. economy if people loose faith in the currency, because that what fiat currencies are worth today, faith. People are just cheering today for a set of sanctions without knowing the unintended consequences that could bring, i know is better than nuclear war but economic sanctions could hurt both ways, but a guy say "hysteria is blinding people".

Some believe that there is a blind hatred for the Russian on the liberal side because they held the belief that Trump won and Hillary lost because of Russian interference. This *may* be the reason for the extreme measure from the us government and from the media/tech companies etc. Driven by hatred is a good way to make some bad mistakes.

If there is one thing to learn about Russia from this war is that they sure love their encirclement tactics.

And it seems that they will do the same thing on Odessa

If you look at history, especially ww2 this has been their doctrine. They fight very differently than the US does. In Iraq we bulldozed through but the Russians are just going around.

Just like the Germans struggled to handle it in ww2 the ukrainians are too. Conscripts first, find strong points and bypass with the trained armor units.

Trade war talk is getting too far off-topic!
Economic and trade sanctions against Russia and Russia's retaliation against the West are part of Ukraine conflict. So no, it is not off topic. Unless, you make this thread explicitly for just military conflict.

Biden is resisted pressure from Congress for imposing sanction on oil.

A good read from David P Goldman, one of a few guys in the west that are able to provide professional views. As it was said: truth hurts. We don't even tell whole truth to our loved ones, because telling truth is actually difficult in real life. But with ultra stakes in a world war, truth has be to be told no matter what. This is because world wars are among most stupid human behaviors. And just to remind those knuckle head Europeans: it is your own two world wars that put your self as second class citizens in the world. If you continue this path and eventually become third class citizens, you would have only yourselves to blame.

Germans did something similar with blitzkrieg.

The key of deep battle doctrine is similar to blitzkrieg: overwhelm a weak point, encircle, annihilate.

The difference with Russian deep battle doctrine is that blitzkrieg gathers one very strong armored push to outright overwhelm defenses while deep battle does reconnaissance in force with small units to find the weak points then surges reserves to the weak point.

Blitzkrieg requires actually physically encircling the enemy and fighting a battle of annihilation in the kessel, but as you see from the Russian moves here, they don't need to encircle fully or commit to a battle of annihilation. They've destroyed enemy reserves and supplies per deep battle doctrine, so they slowly close in while leaving a small corridor for the enemy to attempt a breakthrough (which is watched and if a breakthrough attempt is made, they'll be wiped by artillery and air power). Or the enemy can attack into a strong line and get wiped anyways. Or they'll just starve out and surrender.

We see a masterful application of deep battle in East Ukraine right now.

Okay, do whatever you want. I’m sure you and the other children will take your Kindergarten, knee-jerk, nationalism to another thread when this one gets closed, again!
