I don't know the number of US assets in China, but there are a lot of European assets to be seized. Also think of the licensing fees and patents. If the US steals 3 trillion USD from China, do you really think the likes of Qualcomm or Arm are going to receive a cent for their IP licenses? It doesn't matter anyway as China won't be so stupid as to leave all that money in the US if a crisis is developing. The US dollar won't be a "safe haven" currency after what they've done with the Russian reserves.

There are no safe currency left. Dollar, Euro, Yen, Pound are all Western empire members and will do a freeze on China as well. So, China can only rely on its own currency for all exchanges in the future.

China will have to move away from the dollar to trade exclusively in Yuan, Just a matter of time now. Sooner or later its access to dollar will be cutoff to put pressure on it. Ofcourse China desires stability and probably it cannot do that just yet with GDP per capita so low. They might have more confidence when their GDP per capita hits 30 thousand dollar or more.

Does US really have $3tn in Assets in China? I don't think so. US capital investment on China has never been that high. More investment have come from places like Hong kong, taiwan, Japan, Korea.
The Chinese central bank reserves of $3tn are stored in American dollars and can be seized at a whim by Washington D.C. We need to cut ourselves loose from the western financial hegemony (troika of dollar, swift and clearing house chips).

If Russia has a lick of sense, they'll film these foreign "volunteer" captures and blast their confessions all over social media. Oh, what I would give to see some Reddit edgelord in Amazon tacticool gear weeping on camera.
The impression I'm getting is that this is exactly what they intend to do. Assuming the soldier that captures him is humane enough not to shoot him on the spot as revenge for his friend that killed the day before.

There will be a Nuremberg style trial where each one of these Rambo wannabes will say they didn't know what they were getting in to, express shock and disgust at the crimes committed by the Ukrainians and beg for mercy. Mark my words.

True. Sticking strictly to the topic of Russia and Ukraine, China's digital yuan is a good idea for Russia to get into especially if there is interconvertability between yuan and ruble.

The reality is, money is simply a unit of account for energy/resources/labor. Products are embedded energy/resources/labor. Nobody can eat money. Those with the energy, resources and labor aren't scared of getting cut off because in the end one side is left with all the money and nothing to buy with it, and the other side is left with all the stuff and they can sell it for whatever they want.

China and Russia alone form a very complete industrial ecosystem, never mind China's connection to ASEAN and Russia's to CSTO. This is why a yuan-ruble connection can work: it is exchanging energy and resources for labor, essentially, in the form of raw materials for manufacturered products.

Another major manufacturing power would not be a good fit for a yuan currency connection but Russia is very good.

Returning to the Military situation,

Russia will probably have to move to war time economy to supply and sustain its troops for this large scale fight. In only 7 days they are already facing supply strains. That cannot go on. They will probably need to produce a large number of bombs to destroy Ukrainian armed forces this time.

The troops already fighting will also get exhausted and relieved by reserves and further mobilization maybe required.

Overall, this war is becoming a hugely costly war. The only prize that can justify this level of cost is probably the complete destruction of Ukraine as a state and annexation by Russia. Anything less and the costs don't justify the reward. Not even a puppet Ukraine.

That could create a sea unintended consequences that could crash the dollar and probably the entire U.S. economy if people loose faith in the currency, because that what fiat currencies are worth today, faith. People are just cheering today for a set of sanctions without knowing the unintended consequences that could bring, i know is better than nuclear war but economic sanctions could hurt both ways, but a guy say "hysteria is blinding people".
