The last challenge is perhaps the most complex of all: what to do if Kyiv is taken, the Zelensky administration falls and Ukraine’s army and territorial reserve fragment into a mosaic of resistance forces, armed militias and civil movements.

Indeed. NATO is giving Ukraine a lot of anti-tank weapons.

It wont be wise to enter the city with armoured units without a lot of other things happening first.

That's probably why Russians forces sit at the outskirts of Kiev and don't want (or dare..) to enter the city

Fake or not, this epitomizes all the interactions I've had with Ukrainians over VERY dangerous things when I was in their country. So many times and in so many ways, I've wanted to scream "ARE YOU FSCKING INSANE?!" when they pull something like this.

They're barely keeping it together against Ukraine. Against NATO they'd get crushed like a bug.

Why are you so concerned with what Putin will do? He's finished. You might as well refer to him as a former president already. I'm not sure how long it will take but I can see the wheels turning already. If you know where to look for the signs, they're already there.

No leader in the modern history of Russia has humiliated and disgraced Russia as badly as Putin did and he managed to do it within four days.

He should receive exactly the same treatment as Ceaușescu because he doesn't deserve to commit suicide.

Like it, or not, success in urban combat is best accomplished by a heavy commitment of infantry with an expectation of heavy casualties on both sides. Unless you punk out like the US did in Fallujah (and Assad did in Homs) and just bomb the whole city to dust!
