As I've said a few times in the thread - China's lack of transparency after the conflict created a vacuum that allowed Indian propaganda to proliferate. The Indians were creating a narrative for their own people while China was silent.
In attempting to play down the incident by not talking about it they inadvertently escalated it. You will continue to see this incident crop up for years because of it. 6 months or a year after the conflict was too little too late as most of us had already pieced together what happened and the Indian public had already made up their own minds.
If it were up to me, I would have released video footage of the Indian intrusion and their subsequent rout immediately. I would have also held on to the POW until the dust had settled. They would have been safer in the Chinese camp than the Indian side...
Good. Every time this incident crops up release another video or photo. Free deterrence propaganda. It can be milked for decades.
This is easy. You wait for India to lie outrageously (doesn't take very long) then release evidence that counters their narrative. Look at how bhakt media is completely silent. Don't they love talking about China India borde?? Here's something for them to talk about yet... Silence.
More humiliation will come every time they open their mouths. There are likely hundreds of photos and videos that show Indian soldiers being captured, killed, under absolute PLA control, humiliated and emasculated.
What is the situation on the ground? Well, PLA advanced positions and put air and artillery assets in place. India has been unable to effectively respond except by panic importing foreign coats and rifles (lmao). Their soldiers don't get enough food or shelter.
Politically India has been exposed as a lightweight. Quad is dead. US moved towards AUKUS and bilateral treaty with Japan. Quad doesn't even dare mention the word China. Absolute diplomatic humiliation for India.
