Interestingly, Shi in incredibly generous and not much for business. When Seb of Weightlifting House asked Shi if he could use his image with "Wo Cao" to sell overpriced t-shirts, Shi said no problem without asking for any part of the profits.

I wonder if chinese media reacted the same way after Shi's first time shouting wocao, as the aus media did. Hyping it like crazy.

On another note, what do you think of Nina Sterckx? The cute Belgian weight lifter who cried when she failed her attempt. She is young, could she be a contender in the future?

She became media topic on Weibo, she seem quite popular. Although That could be reaction to backlash towards the universal hatred of Mina ito the gold medalist table tennis player lol.

US lost another 2 golds in swimming that they got last olympic: 200m men backstroke and 200m women breaststroke, going to Russia and South Africa respectively

Hong Kong athlete S Haughey got another silver in 100m women freestyle, gold to aus

That’s amazing! Great year for Chinese swimmers. Looks like they are gonna manage fine without Sun Yang.

Or maybe other athletes are doing better as their nations training programs are ramping up? US is losing a lot of its nationalism, naturally less people will seek to compete in the Olympics since they don't even get paid (and everything in the US is about money and how much status and wealth you can show off).

Look at the excuses people like Lebron James and Curry and Harden, and all those other stars made to not go to the Olympics lol... and Simone Biles pulling out without giving a damn in the middle of the Olympics due to mental health issues.. completely unprecedented.

They just don't give a damn about that cesspool of a country anymore, and why should they? It's just a rotting carcass and each individual is trying to get their share of the remaining rotten meat.
